Black Learners Matter Too™ Community Market 2026

A Celebration of Education, Community, and Opportunity
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, Quarantine Racism Educational Services (QRES) hosted the Black Learners Matter Too™ Community Market at the Burlington Riverfront Promenade in Burlington City, New Jersey.
This family-centered community event brought together local vendors, community organizations, families, and supporters around a shared commitment to educational equity, community engagement, and opportunities for Black learners.
The Community Market was designed to connect education with community experiences, featuring opportunities for local businesses, youth performances, educational engagement, and awareness of QRES initiatives.
Event Highlights
• Youth Performances: Local students shared their talents, including a performance by the Burlington City High School Jazz Band.
• Community Marketplace: Vendors and participating organizations connected with attendees and showcased their products, services, and resources.
• WEMBACK™ Scholarship Recognition: QRES recognized Amina S., the first-ever recipient of the WEMBACK™ Scholarship, celebrating academic commitment, leadership, and community impact.
• Educational Equity Awareness: The event highlighted QRES’s commitment to supporting Black learners and strengthening educational opportunities.
• Community Partnerships: Local organizations, businesses, and sponsors supported the event’s mission.
Although windy conditions prevented the planned Learning Village activities from taking place, the event continued with student performances, community participation, and scholarship recognition.

The Black Learners Matter Too™ Community Market represents QRES’s ongoing commitment to connecting education, families, businesses, and communities.
