The Big Idea – Consistency Has Power

Big Idea

Exponents show numbers that grow quickly, multiplying again and again. Communities also grow — sometimes faster than resources like schools, housing, or jobs. God reminds us to care for all people, especially when growth brings new challenges.

Math + Faith Example

City population in 2000 = 10,000
If population doubles every 10 years (2^n):

  • 2010 → 10,000 × 2¹ = 20,000
  • 2020 → 10,000 × 2² = 40,000
  • 2030 → 10,000 × 2³ = 80,000

Population growth by exponents shows how fast needs increase. Communities must plan so all groups are cared for fairly.
