Unit rates compare costs to a single unit, like price per square foot. In housing, unit rates show whether homes are affordable or out of reach. God desires fairness so that all families can have safe places to live.

Home in Community B: $120,000 for 600 square feet → $200 per square foot

Even though the second home costs less overall, the unit rate is higher, making it less affordable for families.
